Ethanol Fuel

No matter what the nay sayers say. Ethanol is probably the most realistic alternative fuel available today. I live in Brazil at the moment. I have a flex fuel car and it runs very well on ethanol made from sugarcane. I can also fill up on Gasoline if I want to pay twice the price. It is also a very efficient little car (that could fit in the bed of a large full size made in the USA pickup). Regardless, it is a great vehicle for city driving, yet, for freeway driving I would prefer a bigger car.

The US needs to go with what is realistic, not some futuristic hydrogen fuel car. There are factories around the world that already produce the flex fuel engines in various sizes. Incidentally there are many taxi drivers in Brazil that run Tri-fuel cars that run on Ethanol, Gasoline or Natural Gas. So technology exists for all kinds of fuel possibilities at the same time in the same vehicle.
